Prime location near train station, free public transportation passes, spacious rooms

Numerous noise disturbances from street-facing rooms!!! Lack of basic bathroom utilities like shower caps and additional shelving!!! Outdated decor and inadequate cleaning services could greatly diminish one's comfort and enjoyment!!!

Amazing location next to tram station, many attractions and restaurants. Extremely comfy bed, large bathroom and central heating, a safe, and multi-channel TV in the room.

The spaciousness, the quality of linens, the helpful staff was amazing.

I appreciated the sensational breakfast. Every member of staff was active and efficient. The location of the property was excellent, near to everything. Besides, it was near the train station and tram and bus stations, other public transport, shops and the attractions.

Clerk not on duty when we wanted to check out. When found he initially charged us more than booked amount - but corrected when I complained. Looked for "Fassbind" hotel and found it at "City Hotel".

Close to train station. Room was quite large by Swiss standards.

Really basic hotel.Not 3 star. Glad it was our last night as it was very disappointing. Very noisy if room faces onto street. Window didn't close properly which contributed to that problem. Poor lighting, making it quite depressing at night.

The kids loved visiting the BSC Young Boys game nearby, and we appreciated the spacious rooms for our family.

My wife says that the heating was only adjustable by opening windows.

It is a perfect location..right across the street from the train and around the corner from the us embassy. The staff was wonderful and the hotel had a wonderful feel..very european...the fifth floor rooms are terrific. On top of that..i left a valuable necklace and it was returned to me. This is a wonderful hotel.

I had a lovely stay with a comfortable bed and a quiet interior room. However, the pillows left much to be desired, being not supportive at all. I would definitely return!

Location - close to train station and old city. Clean. Quiet from outside noise.

Expensive internet and breakfast. Small bed (single), although this was well advertised. Slightly quirky shower. Electrical outlets shut off when light switch is off. A bit noisy from cleaning staff very early in the morning.

Staff is OK and speaks correct english.

Hotel is very noisy because of the old windows and the location in front of the busiest square in Bern (buses, streetcars, loud cars). The hotel room would need serious renovation (painting is quite old).
